On 29th of January 2025 Pianist Kasparas Uinskas will appear together with Liepaja Symphony Orchestra at Lithuanian national philharmonic hall in Vilnius under the baton of Maestro Atvars Lakstigala. Together they will perform Piano Concerto No. 1 by Frederic Chopin.

Later – on the 1st of February they will appear at Liepaja Great Amber Hall (Latvia) and will perform program with two piano concertos of Frederic Chopin in one evening.

Kasparas Uinskas is an internationally acclaimed pianist, praised by critics for his virtuosity and romantic style. Mr. Uinskas is performing at most important world concert halls – New York’s Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, London Wigmore Hall, Madrid Auditorio Nacional, J. F. Kennedy Center in Washington, DC among others.
His recent performances include his return concert with legendary cellist Alexander Knyazev at Martha Argerich festival in Hamburg at Laeiszhalle after his first appearance at this festival with piano duo with pianist Evgeni Bozhanov. Record label Avanticlassic offered to release the CD of an outstanding duo of pianist Kasparas Uinskas and Alexander Knyazev for a sublime program coupling the last two chamber music works of Johannes Brahms with transcriptions for cello and piano of the celebrated Four Serious Songs, three undisputed masterpieces. The CD was released in February 2022.
The newest Liszt CD by pianist Kasparas Uinskas will be released by Hänssler Classic on 20th of September 2024. It was already honored with the Supersonic Award from Pizzicato: “Wow! What a pianist! Liepāja Symphony Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in the Baltic States. It was started in 1881, when the first Philharmonic in the Baltics was established. Now Liepāja Symphony Orchestra holds a special place in the national cultural life. In 2010 Liepāja Symphony Orchestra was granted the status of a national orchestra. With a brilliant debut in January 2010, Atvars Lakstīgala started his work as the chief conductor of Liepāja Symphony Orchestra, receiving the Latvian Great Music Award 2010 in the end of the year. Since 2015 home of the orchestra is the new concert hall of Liepāja – the “Great Amber”. In the repertoire politics special attention is paid to Latvian music – the orchestra has repeatedly premiered and commissioned new works. In recent seasons all the 12 monumental opuses of Liepaja concert series initiated by Liepāja Symphony Orchestra have been submitted to public and specialist evaluation. They have been released by such record labels as “Odradek Records” and “Skani”. Orchestra has two times received the highest national music award – The Great Music Award, as well as numerous Latvian Recordings Awards. The orchestra regularly tours concert halls in Latvia, and goes on tours abroad.
Atvars Lakstīgala is Latvian conductor, who was born in Riga, educated at the UdK Berlin, where he studied wih Prof. Lutz Koehler, and at Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music, Atvars also improved his professional mastery with Vassily Sinaisky, Leonid Grin, Neeme Jarvi, Paavo Jarvi, Heinrich Schiff and other distinguished teachers.
Atvars has been chief conductor of the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra from January of 2010, till July of 2017. He directed the inaugural concert for the new Great Amber concert hall in Liepaja, Latvia’s most prestigious orchestral venue in November 6 and 7 of 2015. Recent engagements include concerts with Kammerphilharmonie Graubunden in Switzerland, Cinderella Scottish Ballet, Opera Gala at “Sigulda Opera music festival” and many others.
